The Castle Hotel

The team members who were present on this investigation were:-
Nick French, Steve Sturch, John Alldridge, Mark Harper, Dave Blower, Sheryl Blower, Ian Blower, Mark Ireland & Mick Wood.
Guest Visitors – Jane Ensor & John Gillam were sponsored to do the investigation for charity.
The team started to arrive from about 22.00 onwards at the Castle hotel to set up the equipment (camcorders, monitors and video recorders) and to discuss the plan for the investigation.
We had 5 locked off cameras this evening in the following rooms – Cam 1 was in Room 7 along with the infra sound system. Cam 2 was in the cellar restaurant (when cars are going by their headlight will shine into the room. Cam 3 – Room 20. Cam 4 – Room 19, movement sensor on the bed. Cam 5 – Tudor Suite. We set up trigger objects in the Tudor Suite ladies toilets, which was a small teddy with a tied bow around its neck which was drawn round on a piece of paper.
10.40pm Mark I, Dave, John and Ian walked around the hotel doing the EMF meter readings and the room temperatures.
Room 7 Temp 20, Humidity 60, EMF readings were by the television which was unplugged 0.5, floor by bathroom door between 6-7 & 3.5-4 at the top of the door. No smells
Room 19 Temp 19, Humidity 60, EMF nil. Television unplugged, spider on the ceiling light fitting. No smells
Room 20 Temp 15.5 - 20.3, Humidity 64, EMF nil. Television unplugged. No smells
Cellar Temp 16 - 19, Humidity 50, EMF nil. The cellar has various smells and there is alterations being carried out to change it to a restaurant.
Tudor Room Temp 20, Humidity 51, EMF nil. Exit light on, no smells.
Ladies Toilets adjacent to the Tudor room Temp 21, Humidity 58, EMF nil.
23.00pm All the video’s started to record the locked off camcorders.
23.45pm Three teams went to start their investigations. Team 1 Dave, Sheryl, Jane & John. Team 2 Steve, Mick, Mark H & Ian. Team 3 Nick, John & Mark I. The televisions were only watched intermittently.
Team 1 Room 20. No Medium in this team, we wanted to see what we could pick up or sense etc on our own.
23.55pm Entered the room it felt very calm, we settled ourselves down on the bed and chairs
00.00pm Sheryl asked out for a spirit to com forward to move something make a noise etc but there was no response
00.10am; Sheryl asked again out but there was no response
00.15am Dave had seen an Orb going down the wall towards the window. Sheryl asked out for a response but there was nothing.
00.25am Sheryl asked out but there was no response
00.35am We all left the room as it was very quite. Non of the team members had felt anything, they all felt very calm in this room.
Team 2 – In the Cellar.
23.55pm It is very cold but non of the team feel any thing yet
00.00pm Mark feels that that someone had there tongue removed but not sure why a Blacksmith?? He feels he is going back centuries, picks up on a man called George Smith, Mark gets the feeling that he is being dragged by a carthorse, he is about 37, he liked but he never touched the girls. He also picks up on a Thomas Edward & there is a girl called Anne-Marie in a white dress. The Girl isn’t bothered by the music (there is a night club connected to the Castle Hotel). They are getting the year 1512 & the name Jane they can’t pick up who she is connected with. Mark feels someone is touching him she is trying to knock Mark backwards. Mark feels this is Jane & asks out why she is knocking him.
Team 3 – 23.55 in room 7. There was some street noise. John picked up a spirit by the bathroom door, his left arm was hurting then nothing, he was being drawn towards the bathroom. There was a little girl she was asking what they were doing? She seemed happy, her arm was hurt. There was something wrong with her chest, John had a picture in his mind of her lying in bed, she has a fever and sweating. He can picture a rocking horse in the corner. There is a lady & man with a big hat (Doctor) possibly Victorian 1860’s around the bed. The doctor is present but there is nothing they can do. Jon feels very emotional he wants to cry he moves away to the bottom of the bed & asks out for a sign. The little girl isn’t strong enough. He thinks her name is Daisy & that she is 9 years old, he feels she died of pneumonia. John got this information from his spirit guide as the little girl wasn’t very strong. He feels that her mother worked here & her father was a carpenter, he feels she comes back in visitation & she died in 1836.
John begins to pick up on a man that walks around here, he feels that he walks fast & he goes anywhere he likes. Possible name of Mac or Jack he feels as if he was up to something, John feels that the little girl is trying to get into John but the man is stopping her, John then gets a vision of someone storming off possibly this Mac/Jack. Mark thought he saw a small light quickly flash near the door frame. John picks up on a man slouching up the door frame, he doesn’t want us here, he is clothed more modern may the last century. He was asked to make the temperature to drop it went from 20 to 19.4, then 19. After a short while it went back up to 19.7, 20.1 then rising to 20.6. The temp was taken again 2 feet way and it had dropped by 0.8.
Team 1 – In the Cellar
01.05am We entered the room and everything felt really calm we sat down on the benches and just took in the atmosphere of the cellar.
01.10am Sheryl asked if the was any spirits in the room and to come forward – There was no response.
01.20am Sheryl asked out again – No response
01.30am; Sheryl asked out again – No response
01.40am Sheryl asked out again – No response
01.45am We put a bottle on the floor and asked for a spirit to move the bottle. We asked this several times up to 01.50, there was no response the cellar felt very calm so we went to room 7.
Team 1 - Room 7
02.00am We walked into this room & Jane took an instant dislike to the room as she entered
02.10am Mark entered the room to fetch some equipment he had left in there. We asked him if he could sense anything in the room. He said there was a man about 5‘6 but didn’t pick up any thing else on this man. He also picked up on a Heather Wilsure he sensed that she was a guide for Jane. (Dave was taking random photo’s, when these were being checked later it was discovered that as Mark was saying that this guide was standing next to him we can see an Orb on his hand) Mark left at 02.20.
02.25am Dave asked out for any spirits to come forward but there was no response.
02.35am We left the room.
Team 2 – Room 20
01.07am Some street noise and at 01.09 the room temperature was 20.8
John was picking up on women and children in a fire tying to get out. John was facing the headboard and the door was on his left he could see 8 women7 a bout a dozen children in the room. He picked up the name of Megan, she was crawling across the floor then it collapsed as the floor had fell from beneath her.
01.29am Nick saw something near the bathroom.
01.34am Nick saw a spirit light with the naked eye, small light coming from the bathroom and then going up towards the ceiling.
01.39am Asking out for spirits to come forward – No response. John is standing near the bathroom door & he asks out again – he can feel someone close by. Mark captures an Orb on the camcorder and John gets the name Megan again and the number 36 but he doesn’t feel they are related.
Team 2 – Cellar. Room temp 18.5
02.09am John picks up on a man in armour; he asks for the year, he feels that it is pre-hotel around 962. There was a battle and this man was going to battle with his sword.
02.35am Nick had suddenly lost 26 minutes of battery life from his camcorder within a few minutes. John picked up on a spirit called Edward 7 that he was looking for someone. (There was noise coming from outside as staff were disposing of bottles) John has no feeling down his right arm. John asked about the tunnels as he sensed a bearded man had been pinching & had escaped through the tunnels. The tunnels run in the direction of Kings Street/Lane. He was trying to get to the castle through another tunnel.
02.45am The room temperature had dropped to 17.9
All in all this was a good investigation our two trainee mediums are getting a lot more information out of their guides and making the nights more interesting. The two Brave souls that came out for a night under sponsorship enjoyed themselves even though nothing out of the ordinary happened.
