Steve Sturch was asked to do an investigation at the Moat House pub in Tamworth. A friend of his told him about Nick French who was also into the paranormal,  He met up with Nick and asked if he would like to set up a paranormal team, to carry out the  investigation that was coming up. We started to get the team together and also get the equipment, thinking of a name we could call ourselves after a few days I came up with the idea Spirits of the Night.

Our first investigation was the Moat House which went really well. Then after a couple of weeks we read a article in the local paper about a haunted house, we made a few calls and we went round to see what was happening. We had decided to help out and arranged a date. When the date came the investigation went smoothly and to our delight we got rid of the nasty unwanted spirit.  Whatever else was there only come back now in visitation.

Karl Windridge then a team member got a email  from Bullseye TV, they were interested in what we did and wanted to do an investigation with us and also wanted the footage of the investigation of the local haunted house we did, which Nick gladly sent to them. We arranged to do the Manor House investigation with Bullseye which was shown on Sky's Bravo channel this year with the haunted house and the Manor House together. Karl was then asked to help out Tony Stockwell and do a talk on the paranormal and what we do on our investigations at one of his workshops in Essex, He asked Nick to go along with him to help out. to our surprise there was a TV celebrity there, Tony shown a lot of interest in us. Why did Nick and myself set up the paranormal group? We know and believe there are ghosts out there we just have to prove it and with the fantastic group we will prove it.

Now the Spirits of the Night operate in the Midland's area doing investigations at least once every two months. We are a non profit making team our services are free and we have public liability insurance for one million pounds.  Were now trying to get onboard with British Waterways and help them out at various locations. Hopefully our first investigation went down well with them, as it was a brilliant night.
